Games All About the "Acting"? This summer, Chinese-made games, especially "Black Myth: Wukong," have exploded internationally. Its stunning, realistic special effects and scenes have captivated global audiences. So, how are these lifelike game characters created? Vorontsov Georgii (Chinese name: 喬治) from Shenzhen MSU-BIT University found the answer at Tencent's Motion Capture Studio in Shenzhen.

This time, Geogrii gave himself a shake and chang into a 「fiction character」.Dressed in a sensor-laden suit, every move he made was captured by cameras and relayed to a computer. This also required high-level mimicry skills fromGeorgii, as he had to emulate the Monkey King’s character with precision.
The motion capture facility at Tencent spans three floors, forming a massive studio. The man guiding Georgii was Master Peiyou Yuan , head of Tencent's Motion Capture Studio. Here, cutting-edge technology integrates biology, mathematics, physics, computing, and art, bringing game characters to life with more realistic movements and natural expressions.
"When I saw myself transformed on the screen, it felt incredibly real." Georgii said, exhilarated by the experience.
